Our Team
Benjamin Lyons, LCPC, LPC (he/him)
I'm an applied social scientist and clinical mental health counselor serving clients virtually across Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri. My journey in helping others began in 2011 as a college educator, academic advisor, and career coach. A mental health practitioner since 2018, I am AuDHD professional who got into this work after seeing myself in my clients' experiences.
Clinically certified in ADHD, Autism, and Telehealth services, I approach the therapeutic process as a partnership - I am the mental health expert, and you, the client, are the expert on you. Through the combination of our expertise and resources, we can work together to improve your wellness. My approach is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for the lived experiences my clients bring into the room.
Beyond one-on-one counseling, I’m also a consultant and presenter specializing in telehealth innovation, online service delivery, and creating neurodivergent-affirming environments. I've led trainings and talks for a wide range of organizations from Adler University and Johnson County Community College to ADHD Kansas City, KC PrideFest, and Midwest FurFest - sharing strategies to make care more accessible, affirming, and effective for diverse communities.
